An IVECO tractor unit on the night highway. Long-haul atmosphere in a single-scene AI ad experiment.

What is in the frame

A green IVECO S-Way tractor unit moves along a highway at night. A clear, star-filled sky sits above it, red and amber light trails from oncoming traffic run down either side, and the lane markings reflect back off wet asphalt below.

The headlights open the lane ahead and the bodywork above the cab picks up the blue of the sky. Pole lights pass out of frame on the right and fall behind. Fifteen seconds, one continuous scene: no cuts, no change of location, the camera locked to the truck's speed.

The hard part

A single uncut scene does not make the work easier — it makes it harder. With no cut, every flaw stays on screen and there is no next shot to correct it in.

In night work the most fragile thing is light staying consistent with its own source. As pole lights enter and leave frame, the highlight on the cab has to travel with them, and the beam the headlights throw has to agree with how wet the road is. The moment the source moves one way and the reflection moves another, the scene turns false. That is why the speed of the light trails was matched to the truck's speed separately.

Where we shoot, where we generate

The body form was built from real vehicle photography. Grille geometry, the rake of the windscreen, the line behind the cab and the point where the mirror meets the body are not open to interpretation. If the truck looks wrong for a heavy vehicle brand, nothing else in the film gets discussed.

Nothing replaces shooting a real vehicle on a real road. Weight settling into the suspension, the cab leaning slightly through a bend, the relationship between tyre and surface — those are things that enter the lens on location.

Closing a highway at night, clearing permits and putting a crew on the road is not something you repeat for every campaign variant. Starting from the real vehicle imagery we already have, we produce the different time-of-day, weather and format variants here.

Where this is useful

We produce social and dealer-screen content for heavy vehicle, fleet and logistics brands. The vertical format is deliberate: this was built to be watched full screen on a phone, not on a landscape channel.
