NMW — Brand Launch
A five-second logo and launch video for the NMW brand debut.
About the Film
A five-second logo and launch video for the NMW brand debut.
What is in the frame
A heart woven entirely from flowers sits at the centre of a white infinity background. Roses, carnations, daisies and wildflowers press into one another; red, orange, pink and cobalt blue run together inside a single mass. A narrow column of greenery falls away beneath it.
The NMW logo passes through the centre from behind the heart. It sits behind the flowers rather than in front of them, so the name reads clearly while the floral mass keeps the centre of the composition.
The hard part
The real constraint is length. Five seconds gives you no room for a narrative arc and no room to introduce a scene; you have one visual idea and the way it moves. So every movement was tied to a single direction — gathering above, falling below. The viewer registers the fall before the heart, the eye locks there, and only then does the logo read.
Keeping the background clean was the second problem. The white had to stay white while the floral mass moved, and falling petals could not smear across it. Because the logo could neither disappear behind the heart nor sit on top of it, the layer order was rebuilt several times.
Where we shoot, where we generate
The visual foundation comes from real reference photography. The texture of the petals, the matte break at the edge of a leaf, the way shadow settles into the stem — that information is carried over from a photographed frame. The generated layer builds movement and depth on top of that material, and the real image is what tells it where to start.
A brand's principal campaign image is still shot on set. The way light falls on a real surface, how a material behaves in front of a lens, the decisions an art director makes inside the frame in the moment — none of that has a substitute.
Generation earns its place afterwards, extending that material across a season and across formats. Nobody books a shoot day for a five-second opening bumper; it is derived from the real image you already have.
Where this is useful
A vertical format built for brand launches, collection reveals and first appearances on social. It runs as a pre-roll bumper, an in-store screen loop and an opening card in story formats.
