About the Film
A three-minute short film. Not client work — made to find out how far narrative can be pushed with AI.
What is in the film
It opens in a warm, sepia-toned library. Hands take a book off a shelf: Amâk-ı Hayâl, Ahmed Hilmi’s classic on inward journey. The rest of the film is built on that choice.
Then the tone changes entirely. A cold, blue-grey metro platform. A man in a coat stands alone; behind him the silhouettes of passengers blur through carriage windows. That cut between a warm past and a cold present is the idea the film carries.
Horizontal format, cinematic framing — cut to be watched rather than scrolled past.
The hard part
Three minutes is a long time in AI video. The tools produce clips of a few seconds, and those clips have to look like they belong to the same film when placed end to end. Colour, light and texture cannot drift from one cut to the next.
The two worlds also had to stay deliberately separate without reading as two different films. The gap between the warmth of the library and the cold of the metro had to land as a decision, not an accident.
And there is the book: the text on the cover had to be legible. AI-generated text is usually an imitation of letters.
Why we make films like this
Advertising work is predictable: there is a brief, a product, a fixed length. Narrative asks for a different muscle — character consistency, tone control, rhythm.
We make these as our own work rather than client work, to find where the tools stop. The methods that come out of it are then used on real client projects to build scenes, colour and pacing with more control.
The production side of the house works the same way. A new lens, a new lighting approach or a new edit idea gets tried on our own work before it goes near a client project.
For work like this
We produce brand story films and corporate narrative. On narrative projects a common route is to establish the concept with AI and shoot the actual film for real.
